Hi I am still trying to work out how to use the site. I uploaded the pic last night but lost the head of my mate! Anyway I am pleased to be here as you can see I am about to get my case packed. I am off to Timor Leste to visit my colleagues in Suai at the Community Centre (Centro Communidade Covalima) and Youth Centre (centro juventude covalima) mid April 09. I work as the Coordinator for Friends of Suai (FoS)www.friendsofsuai.org.au at the City of Port Phillip. The two communities have had a friendship going for 9 years now. Its been an amazing week as 5 young trainees have gone to Baucau to train with InfoTimor to learn skills in computer hardware and software and return to set up a similar enterprise in Suai. We have great hopes! Also FoS received a $10,000 AUD donation this week from the family of a development worker who worked in Suai some years ago. The donation is for books for the new library at the Suai Public Secondary School that is being built by locals as a community centre project from FoS donations. It's just great to know that the library will be up and running soon. We now need to work together to find appropriate books in 4 languages. Does anyone know the details of the librarian course that is happening with Dili Institute? Any suggestions of appropriate book outlets in Timor Leste would also be useful? Does anyone know about on-line educational resources? PJ

thanks for our reply, would it be possible to see photos of the bridge ??? I am curious because when we were the we noted some scouring issues a little downstream of the bridge which may have moved upstream.
